Role & Responsibilities:
The Processing Plant Assistant Manager is in charge with overseeing and operating the treatment plant for organic waste.

This includes work planning/ performance management, human resource and facility management, inventory and budget management, process improvement as well as cross-team communication and collaboration.

The Processing Plant Assistant Manager reports directly to the Engineering Operaitons Manager and is in charge of the Processing Team Supervisors.

Key Accountabilities:
 Work planning/ performance management

    * Develop shift plans on monthly and work plans on weekly basis, ensure that they are adhered and tasks are performed to full satisfaction and on time
    * Provide instruction to Team Supervisor during weekly work plan meetings
    * Evaluate and complete performance appraisals of Waste Processing Team employees

Human resource and facility management

    * Ensure that all waste is processed in the waste treatment plant using appropriate means in the most safe and efficient manner possible
    * Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate occupational and environmental health and safety regulations
    * Develop, implement, continuously evaluate and up-date work instructions
    * Responsible for striving for and meeting Key Performance Indicators developed for Waste Processing
    * Interview, hire and train new staff required for waste processing
    * Maintain discipline, morale and personnel relations among the team
    * Interpret monitoring data, troubleshoots problems and develop and implements solutions to improve current treatment process
    * Interpret laboratory data for compost boxes and windrows, establish and conduct final quality control of finished product
    * Support Processing Team Supervisor in treatment of waste, including provision and ordering of equipment and manpower needed
    * Focus on continuous improvement of process through most effective usage of manpower and equipment
    * Implement research experiments

Plant inspection

    * Oversee waste treatment plant staff as well as development of the site and its operations
    * Prepare and complete routine maintenance inspections of plant facility and equipment, to ensure facility is
    * kept in good tidy order and malfunctioning of equipment is repaired to provide a professional and safe working environment.

Inventory and budget management

    * Track and record expenses daily and submit budget on time
    * Ensure request of MPESA payments are submitted for approval in time
    * Bi-weekly submission of petty cash expenses

Cross- team communication and collaboration

    * Provide assistance to other teams in hosting trainings and site visits
    * Attend all scheduled meetings and company functions as required
    * Undertake other assigned duties and projects as required

Key Requirements:

Internal Risk and Systems Auditor II (4 Posts)

Duties and Responsibilities
An Officer at this level will work under the direction of a more senior officer. Specific duties and responsibilities will entail:
Verifying periodical financial returns that are required to be submitted from time to time such as pending bill return, expenditure return, imprest returns, revenue and Appropriation-In-Aid returns, staff return and vehicle returns;
Ensuring that the physical assets, plant and equipment, supplies, stores are appropriately recorded in the relevant registers and are kept under safe custody; and
Ensuring that revenue (Appropriation-In-Aid) and other receipts due to the Judiciary are collected promptly, banked immediately and accounted for and where revenue collectable is not fixed, ensure that pre-audit of the relevant documents is carried out.

Professional qualifications and experience
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must
Be in possession of CPA I/Diploma in Internal Auditing or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) II from a recognized institution.
Served ¡n a comparable and relevant position for a reputable organization for a minimum period of two (2) years;
Be proficient in computer applications with strong emphasis on data and financial management software

Reporting to the Appraisal Monitoring and Evaluation Officer– East Pokot, the AMEU assistant will bear the following;

Key Responsibilities and Duties
•    Assist the AMEU officer to collaborate with Programme Departments to prepare and implement monitoring and evaluation plans to measure project progress and impact indicators;
•    Assist in the design of appraisal, monitoring and evaluation methodologies and tools and ensure they are in line with project objectives and indicators;
•    Assist in planning and conductingfield-level data collection and project monitoring usingdifferent techniques including household surveys, market data collection, focus group discussion, key informant interviews, participatory rural appraisal methodsetc;
•    Conduct training and supervision of enumerator teams, including checking questionnaires for reliability and consistency;
•    Conduct quantitative data entry and recording of qualitative field notes, and conductingqualitychecking and cleaning of data;
•    Support the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, writing and compiling reportsto assist programme management and programme development;
•    Improve AMEU processes and procedures including data collection skills, data quality, analysis and report writing;

Requested Profile
•    Higher diploma in Sociology, Development Studies or a related field;
•    At least 2 years of workexperience in a similar field; former experience with humanitarian organizations is an asset;
•    Previous experience with community development, foodsecurity, livestockhealth or productivit development, WASH and/or Participatory Rural Appraisal methodologyis an asset;
•    Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively in all ACTED areas of intervention and to spend long periods in the field;
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively in English language and Pokotlanguage;
•    Knowledge of and experience in field-based data collection methods; and Monitoring and Evaluation experience in humanitarian/development settings ispreferred.

Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines:- Communications, Media Studies, Broadcast Journalism, Information Sciences or related field and at least three (3) years experience in programme evaluation, acquisition and scheduling of television programmes in a reputable broadcasting house at a supervisory level;
TV Production training;
Knowledge of Kenyan Curricular or Educational Television;
Conversant with broadcast regulations, rules and guidelines as well as technical and production standards;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and
Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
Initiative, be a team player and
Proficiency in computer use and application.

Chief Television (TV) Programmer/Director

Scale KIE 11 (1 Post)

a) Duties and responsibilities
Formulating the station goals, policies and procedures;
Coordinating programming of the education channel broadcast schedules;
Previewing and evaluating local and international educational television programmes to determine relevance and quality for transmission;
Sourcing for suitable Educational programmes for broadcast.
Responding to viewers' questions, comments and/or complaints regarding television programming/scheduling;
Preparing annual workplan and budget;
Conducting monitoring and evaluation of the educational channel programmes and prepare reports;
Liaising with the Production manager on programmes content and schedules;
Ensuring compliance with national and international regulations and guidelines in broadcasting;
Initiating programme sponsorship; and
Inducting, training and supervising staff.
