Family - Spouse with Children Requisition Num: 2012FCHO-8TNDAC PURPOSE OF POSITION: To coordinate all Key commodity business processes within the province in compliance with agreed upon local & partnership standards, policies, procedures and commodity objectives for WV Mozambique. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure that commodities component of FFE project is managed well, with high levels of accountability and that food commodities reach intended beneficiaries on schedule and in good condition. Ensure safe, suitable, adequate storage capacity and transport for internal delivery of food commodities from port of Nacala to warehouses and then to schools. Implement mechanisms to ensure effective warehouse operations and commodity storage and commodities tracking Develop and implement capacity building strategy. Undertake spot checks on each field site once a month to ensure standards are maintained – warehouses, project/work sites. Project reporting. Supervise commodity and financial accounting and staff to ensure records are accurate and meet required standards of accountability. Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the mechanism established for delivery of the Commodities Programme objectives in Nampula Province. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: REQUIRED: At least a BA degree in a relevant field, likely in development. Demonstrated ability to relate well with local staff and host country government officials Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Ability in Portuguese is highly desirable. Skilled in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Lotus Notes Experience in training and capacity building is highly desired Thorough knowledge of WV commodities tracking system Demonstrated leadership, planning and organizational skills Must be familiar with WV Food Commodity Manual PREFERRED: At least 5 years of experience in commodity.
