Family - Spouse with Children Requisition Num: 2012FCHO-8TNG6T PURPOSE OF POSITION: To provide management for the USDA Food for Education Project ($20million three year project) and Ensure all Project targets and grant objectives are met. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate closely with the Commodities departments in WVUS and in WV Mozambique to ensure timely shipping, delivery, distribution, tracking and monitoring of the food commodities. Ensure in coordination with M&E department, regularly monitor and evaluate the progress of the project. Ensure that proper community development practices and “Do No Harm” practices are incorporated and upheld throughout the planning and implementation of the project. Ensure that grant and financial rules and regulations are strictly adhered to and ensure appropriate levels of spending. Create and compile project reports to be submitted to the donor by WVUS, as well as reports for World Vision leadership and regional office. Introduce, implement, and monitor all internal World Vision policies and initiatives that need to be integrated into the project. Ensure that technical specialists are monitoring and disseminating project data collected by field staff in a timely manner. Maintain responsibility for USDA FFE funding streams including commodity value, ITSH Maintain excellent working relations with partners and other contractors. When required, coordinate and host donor and WV US field trips Ensure project activities are in compliance with government rules and regulations. Manage and ensure successful implementation of project Coordinate closely with other NGOs in the area to ensure complementary programming. Ensure a productive and positive relationship with government and partners KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: REQUIRED: Masters Degree in social science plus 10 years of work experience in international development. Experience in project management, preferably US government grants. Fluency in English.
