Posted Date: 5/8/2012 Category: International Positions More information about this job: Overview: Infection Prevention (Hygiene) Officers needed to work as critical part voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) mobile unit. Reporting to the VMMC Surgeon, the Officer maintains high hygiene standards for the VMMC mobile teams, as well as coordinate surgical instruments sterilization for all required supplies and equipment used by the VMMC team during circumcisions. The Infection Prevention (Hygiene) Officer plays a critical role in ensuring provision of quality VMMC services. Jhpiego is one of the implementing partners of the APHIAplus Western Kenya project. This USAID funded APHIAplus projects became effective from January 2011 and work closely with the Government of Kenya, non-governmental and for-profit sectors to strengthen health care services in all provinces. The APHIAplus Western Kenya project covers Western and Nyanza provinces. Successful candidate will be hired for a one year fixed contract.
